I like the gothic architecture on the last photos. I am also facinated by old cemeteries. I can make a whole day of it. I really like old Catholic cemeteries from the 1800s-early 1900s. The Victorians sure knew how to decorate a gravesite. 🙂 I’d love to visit some REALLY old ones out east, but that hasn’t happened yet…someday. Sigh!

I found a strange gravesite on my last outing. There were a pair of graves that each had a small metal door on the ground. Why? Were the doors there in case there’d been a mistake? Were they there to ease further additons? I’m not sure. I should post the pics and see if anyone knows what the little doors were for.

    Have a great day!
    Juli
