Nebraska and Back
Mom is visiting the aunt and uncle for a few days, so we had to take her up there. While we were in the Omaha area we also planned to get the deepfreeze from Sam’s club we’ve been eyeing and use the gift card that our friend and fellow Ravenclaw alumni sent. We got a late start however because…
The photo doesn’t do it justice. Then they rarely do.
Despite the fog it was chilly outside.
But the fourth furry passenger kept us warm.
Doesn’t he look happy?
Despite a winter weather warning, we had no problems and were soon at our destination.
We had a nice visit with them and again were reminded of the winter weather warning, but it seemed soooo nice out, so we scuttled off to Sam’s club where we got the last deep freeze (and some frappucinos yay!) As we exited we noticed that it had gotten cold. Very cold. But we still needed to go to the mall.
I’d never been to this one before but from an 80s/90s standpoint it was pretty cool.
After some map reading mishaps we found the Bath and Bodyworks.
It was about like sinus suicide in there with all the different scented products but we found some snazzy items and scurried out.
Once outside we found it was really, really child but after the boiling hot mall that was okay… Until we got out of the truck at my cousin’s house. Then it was freezing. And that winter weather warning? There was a little bit of light snow, kind is like glitter, floating around, but nothing apocalyptic.
So, we had a nice visit.
Then we left. The snow? It was coming down.
But it can’t be that bad, so first we stopped at the super hy-vee.
So it was midnight before we actually headed home and by then it was a full blown winter weather advisory.
So it took us a bit longer to get home, but we made it, ulcer and all. And by the time we got here it was beyond cold. But they managed to get the deep freeze in.
And then we ate pizza and shivered Lol. I’d say I hope today is warmer, but I know better.
Stay warm everyone!
